Janet Lowry’s etchings are rich in colour and texture. Her work is created in an intuitive manner, in which she doesn’t allow any pre-conceived notions dictate the work. Janet layers texture and colour in a labour intensive process and often finishes the work with some collage details. Janet’s etching reference the landscape, but maintain their abstract sensibilities.
