Aron Hill
Aron Hill currently lives and works in Calgary, Alberta. He graduated from Alberta College of Art and Design in 2000 with a BFA in Interdisciplinary studies. He then completed his MFA at Goldsmiths College, University of London. His work there evolved into installation based projects using traditional drawing and painting methods alongside formal sculptural elements, large format photography and text based work. He has recently been focused on formalist paintings that recall aspects of minimalism and color field paintings though with references to the figure throughout. He finds conceptual company in the late Modernist paintings produced particularly in Canada. The choice of a restricted medium, acrylic ink washes on prepared raw canvas, forces restraint. The work's graphic nature relies on the sheer flatness this medium produces. Aron has exhibited internationally, occasionally lectures, and writes.

OTTO ROGERS: BIOGRAPHY
Otto Rogers was born in 1935 in Kerrobert, Saskatchewan. He attended the Saskatchewan Teachers College (1954).He received a Bachelor of Science in Art Education (1958) and a Masters in Fine Art (1959) from the University of Wisconsin. As Professor and Head of the Department of Art at the University of Saskatchewan (1959– 1988), Rogers helped revive the Emma Lake Artist Workshop, Saskatchewan (1971– 1987). From 1988 to 1998 Rogers lived in Haifa, Israel, where he served two, five-year terms as a Counselor member of the International Teaching Center at the World Centre for the Bahai Faith.
Rogers' works are found in over 1600 major public, corporate and private collections in North America, Asia and Europe including Art Gallery of Ontario, Edmonton Art Gallery, Mendal Art Gallery, Saskatoon; Montreal Museum of Art; Museum of Contemporary Art, Barcelona Spain; Museum of Fine Arts, Boston; the National Gallery of Canada; Bank of Montreal; General Foods and Scotiabank. Otto Rogers lives and works in Southern Ontario.
